Lemon Grass 'East Indian' - 10+ Seeds.
A perennial herb which grows to 70cm. Lemon Grass is often grown as an annual in cool climates. This tufted aromatic grass originates from East India and has a very strong lemon flavour. Lemongrass is commonly used in Asian cuisine as a flavouring in stir-fry, soups, curries, salads and as a seasoning for chicken and fish dishes. A tea can be made from dried leaves.
Fast growing, drought tolerant and thrives in poor soil conditions once established. Also known as "Malabar grass" or "Cochin grass".
Harvest leaf stalks from the outside of the clump to use in cooking or for tea. Begin picking anytime after clumps are well established and growing vigorously. Use fresh or dry. To dry, place in a warm, well-ventilated location out of direct sunlight.
A very easy, must have herb to grow!
