A multi-generational, family-owned and operated seed merchant company situated on our family farm in the picturesque Coal River Valley region of Tasmania, just outside historic Richmond.
D&H Seed Harvest Co is proudly run by a mother-daughter duo, Haylee & Karla, alongside a small, dedicated team who share a genuine passion for gardening, sustainable living, and helping everyday Australians grow their gardens affordably.
The name Dust & Harrow Seed Harvest Co — shortened simply to D&H Seed Harvest Co — was inspired by traditional farming practices, the rich agricultural history of Tasmania, and the hands-on values we were raised with. “Dust & Harrow” reflects the connection between soil, hard work, harvest, and the generations before us who lived from the land.
We are passionate about sustainable farming, the preservation of heirloom varieties, and permaculture in general. Our company is proud to offer more than 700 varieties of vegetable, flower, Australian native, ornamental, tree seeds, and specialty seed mixes to mums, dads, and everyday home gardeners — many of which were traditionally only available through commercial suppliers.
Originally commercial seed merchants, D&H Seed Harvest Co began selling directly to the public during the COVID-19 lockdowns when many businesses shifted online. What started as a small idea from our family farm quickly grew into something far greater than we ever imagined. Since then, we have proudly served more than 100,000 customers Australia-wide, many of whom return season after season for their garden and seed supplies.

• Operating entirely online, removing the costs associated with a physical storefront.
• Keeping packaging practical and minimal — no fancy throwaway envelopes, just reusable zip-lock bags that can be repurposed for your own seed saving.
We purchase directly from large-scale Australian producers and farmers, including generational seed merchant pioneers with decades of experience and knowledge.
Community is incredibly important to us. We believe strongly in supporting local initiatives, giving back wherever we can, and encouraging future generations to grow. We regularly donate to fundraising events and proudly support local school Kitchen Garden programs.
Above all, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to grow their own food, flowers, and herbs without spending a fortune. We are passionate about permaculture education and provide comprehensive growing notes with every order to help our customers succeed.
