A multi-generational family owned and operated Seed Merchant company situated in the picturesque Coal River Valley region of Tasmania, just outside of historic Richmond Tas.

We are passionate about sustainable farming, the preservation of heirloom varieties and permaculture in general. Our company is proud to be able to offer a vast range of seed product to the mum, dad & everyday home gardener that are otherwise only available commercially.

Traditionally commercial seed merchants, D&H Seed Harvest Co commenced selling to the public during the Covid19 lockdowns of 2019 when many business’s shut their doors and started to trade online. Having much time at home provided an opportunity to explore the option to sell to the public & the demand was nothing short of incredible. D&H have served over 40,000 online customers since, who chose to return time and time again to purchase their seasonal seed and garden products.

Our mission
We aim to keep our prices as low as possible by focusing on two key elements;
Selling entirely online – removing the need for a shop front.
Keeping our packing to a minimum – no fancy throw away envelopes here, only zip lock bags that can be used time and time again for your own seed saving.

We purchase directly from large scale producers and farmers within Australia, some of whom are generational seed merchant pioneers. We are passionate about community and believe in supporting small businesses and ‘giving back’ wherever we can. We regularly donate to fundraising events and support local school garden ‘Kitchen Garden’ programs.

We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to grow their own food without spending a fortune and we are strong believers in permaculture education. We provide comprehensive growing notes with every order to ensure you succeed!
