Endemic to Tasmania and elsewhere. Sowerbaea juncea 'Purple Lily' is a tufted herbaceous perennial 'lily', with dense clusters of mauve flowers and long thin green leaves. The species flowers from October through to February.

A perennial plant that forms a grass like clump, and gets swathes of pale mauve flowers with a beautiful vanilla perfume through spring.

Perfect for jus about any landscape. Adaptable to most conditions. 

While it is commonly called a lily, it does not form tubers, but has a fibrous root system.
