A 2,000 year old onion variety!

 

An Italian variety known for it's versatility. Can be cooked or eaten raw, sweeter and more aromatic than white and golden onions.

Traditionally, red onions are dried and woven in "braids”, this is how they are preserved until the next harvest.

A very versatile variety which is number one in our veggie patch!

 

Sowing method: Sow seeds direct or plant out seedlings

Germination: 6-10 days at temperatures between 20-25 °C
