Calamint is a relatively low-maintenance little flower that can tolerate a variety of soil types, lighting, and temperatures. These small, bushy, aromatic perennials are known for being so versatile that it makes a popular choice for even the most novice gardeners.
Lesser catmint, Calamintha nepeta, is a small bushy perennial with fragrant, grey-green leaves and tiny white or lilac summer flowers. This plant is extremely attractive to bees and other pollinators, and its compact habit makes it a great choice for a small garden or container growing.
Calamintha nepeta ‘White Cloud’ forms a neat mound of fragrant leaves from which spikes of tiny, white-lipped flowers appear from June until the first frosts. It’s easy to grow and looks fabulous in the evening light.
Grow Calamintha nepeta ‘White Cloud’ in moist but well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Cut back after flowering or leave the seeds to develop for birds.
A very easy, must have herb to grow!
