Brussels Sprouts 'Long Island Improved' - 50 Seeds

An extremely old heirloom variety - developed around Brussels in 1500's.

Source of  vitamins A and C, iron, calcium and folic acid. For best results and longer crops, harvests over 8 to 10 weeks. This variety prefers a near neutral soil, trim lower leaves as they appear to allow sprouts to develop. Flavour improves with frost, so don't be deterred if you live in a cold climate. Stores very well at high humidity and low temperatures and suited to freezing.
