Radermachera sinica 'China Doll Plant' - 5x Seeds

Radermachera sinica, commonly known as the China Doll Plant or China Doll Tree, is an evergreen shrub or small tree native to southern China and Taiwan. It is admired for its glossy, dark green, pinnate leaves and its graceful, bushy appearance. The plant typically grows to around 1.8 to 3 meters tall when cultivated indoors, but it can reach larger sizes in outdoor settings in tropical or subtropical climates.

Radermachera sinica is primarily grown as a houseplant in cooler climates due to its sensitivity to frost, thriving in bright, indirect light and well-drained, slightly acidic soil. It prefers warm, humid conditions and is relatively low-maintenance, requiring moderate watering and occasional pruning to maintain its shape.

This plant is appreciated for its ornamental value and air-purifying qualities, making it a popular choice for interior spaces. However, it can be susceptible to pests like scale and spider mites. Despite its delicate appearance, Radermachera sinica is hardy in suitable climates and can be grown outdoors in tropical gardens where it can reach its full potential.

Growing tips Cold/warm water treatment is recommended. You can keep these seeds in cold/warm water for a few days but please ensure the water is changed daily. This soften the seeds well enough to encourage them to sprout once planted in soil.
