Hibiscus sabdariffa Rosella - 10x Seeds

A true Aussie favorite!

Rosella is a hardy plant, adapted to a range of Australian climates. It can survive dry spells, but for best results, plant in fertile, well-drained soil and water regularly. A tropical plant, Rosella is frost sensitive and grows as an annual in regions with cold winters.

Rosella is an attractive annual shrub showing red stems, red/green leaves, producing yellow flowers, which are followed by red fleshy fruit. The fruit can be eaten fresh but Rosella is most commonly used to make condiments, jam, tea and other beverages. It also has many medicinal uses.

Plant needs at least 6 months frost free to produce fruit so is best suited to warm climates or grown after the last frost in cooler climates.

Also known as Roselle and Jamaica sorrel.
