Liatris spicata ‘Floristan Violet’ is a refined, florist-favourite variety of Blazing Star, known for its tall, upright spikes of vibrant violet-purple flowers. Blooming from top to bottom in mid to late summer, it adds bold colour and vertical form to garden beds, borders, and wildflower plantings.

Plants reach around 70–100 cm tall and form clumps of narrow, grassy foliage at the base. Highly attractive to bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, this low-maintenance perennial performs best in full sun and well-drained soil.
