The premium variety Phormium Cookianum Dwarf Green™ is grown as a border plant, in mass-plantings in hard-wearing or difficult areas such as beside buildings or fences and is often planted by local councils along nature or median strips as well as roundabouts where it is typically difficult to get other things to grow.

Phormium Cookianum Dwarf Green™ plants are non-invasive, generally clump into 50x50cm mounds of arching blades of spectacular glossy green foliage. Phormium Cookianum Dwarf Green™ is an extremely hardy plant as it is highly frost and drought tolerant and will tolerate a range of soils.
