Chilli 'Bulgarian Carrot' - 8 Seeds

Prolific fruit bearer

An heirloom variety from Bulgaria, these stocky chilli plants produce almost fluorescent orange carrot-shaped chillies that are big on flavour. Don't let this little orange pepper fool you, it may look like a baby carrot, but the flavor is much spicier!

Medium to very hot depending on growing conditions, the Bulgarian Carrot has an irresistible crunchy bite, and is one of the best varieties you can find for roasting or chopping into salsa and chutney.

With its pointy shape and bright-orange skin, the Bulgarian carrot – a.k.a. shipkas or hot carrot pepper – is unmistakeable. It’s even a bit crunchier than other chilies which makes it terrific for roasting and pickling. Plus, its colorful skin and fruity flavor looks and tastes great in salsas and chutney.

Plants also make quite a spectacle when grown as a conservatory or patio plant.
