A prostrate spreading shrub growing to around 30-60cm in height with purple-red-pink pea-like flowers that occur from May to September in its natural range.

Occurs naturally along watercourses in the Eremaean Province in the Pilbara, Gascoyne, and the Little Sandy Desert regions of Western Australia. 

Prefers a light to medium well-drained soil in an open sunny position, drought tolerant.

The spectacular "decurrens" pea would be one of the most eye catching of the Fabaceae family with large purple-red-pink pea shaped  flowers.
