Pittosporum tenuifolium is a native to New Zealand and a highly hybridised species. In its natural habitat it will reach around 8 – 10m in height. It is a plant that easily pruned to size and this gives it the characteristics that make it suited for use as a hedging plant or screen.
Its small, very dark, reddish-purple flowers generally go unnoticed, and are scented only at night. The Latin tenuifolium means "slender-leaved"It responds well to pruning and makes a good screen or specimen and is suited to gardens of all sizes. Each seed pack contains a minimum of 8x seeds and germination notes.
