This award winning peony-type poppy has unusual and attractive frilly blooms that are approximately 10-12cm wide. The large feathery black flowers are double in size.

A perfect bedding or cottage garden plant that is virtually maintenance free. The plants have an unusual curly stem and the green seed pods are highly sought after for use in dried flower arrangements or leave them alone and they'll spread seed for year after year of flowering. Poppies are always more dramatic and eye catching when planted in mass, a must for every spring garden. 

Adaptable to all soils & tolerant to poor sandy soils and is drought and frost resistant.
